Training Policy
This policy will show A1 Rushmoor Radio Taxis LTD training procedure for new starters.
Step 1
On the first day of training the trainee will begin with going through the health and safety procedures, and the everyday runnings of the office. This will be done with a manager. Then using the split headset we will log on to the system and start answering calls with the appointed trainer doing both talking and typing. New staff will listen in and watch.
Step 2
Once the trainee feels confident and the appointed trainer agrees, then the trainee will take on one part of the role either talking or typing. The appointed trainer will do the other.
Step 3
Appointed trainer and trainee will the reverse roles carried out in step 2.
Step 4
Trainee will take on both roles (typing & talking) with the appointed trainer listening in.
Step 5
Trainee will continue to work with another staff member listening in until management agree to move on to step 6.
Step 6
Trainee will then be doing all aspects of the telephonist role with noone listening in.
After a period of 3 months from start date all staff will have a training review. This is an opportunity to highlight any further training that may be needed, any issues that have arisen and any problems you may have regarding the role.
During your employment and due to the nature of the job you may be required to meet with management. This is done on an issue by issue basis. If at any point during your employment you feel that you may need help or assistance arrange a meeting with management asap. If you don’t tell us, we don’t know.
